In addition to being an experienced mediator, I am an experienced litigator in the Family Division, as well as a counselor holding a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology.

By alleviating the prospect of litigation, divorce mediation is a cost-effective alternative to traditional divorce.  Mediation is a process for couples who want to reach a collaborative resolution out of court. Each spouse must be willing to be fully involved in the mediation proceedings, which will define the terms of your divorce and address such issues as division of property, alimony, child support, and custody.

Rather, I strive to empower and educate you about the law, allowing you and your spouse to reach an agreement that serves you, and your family’s best interests. This agreement, once executed, is a contract that is legally binding. However, the terms of your divorce need not be based on established law. This allows you and your spouse greater latitude when discussing your divorce…it is an agreement between the two of you.  And, the terms of your settlement agreement can remain confidential. Your settlement agreement need not become part of the court's public record.
